Giving a woman in financial need a hand up is often more powerful than giving her a hand out.
While many organizations help women with financial assistance, few provide immediate assistance and many have a list of criteria applicants must meet before receiving any money.
That’s where nonprofit Women2Women steps up to help.
Kay Broderius founded the nonprofit in 2009 along with nine other Weld County women.

The nonprofit assists women with immediate one-time financial needs that can’t be covered by other sources.
“Over the last ten years, we have helped over 1,577 women and put over $793,222 back into the economy,” Women2Women president Verniece Thomas said.
“We only fund Weld County women and we only do it on the one-time basis.”
Requests for assistance are sent to the nonprofit by one of its partner organizations through a referral process. Applications are screened by a three-member program committee and then sent
