Hyacinthe Klosé (1808-1880) was a renowned French clarinetist, composer, and professor who made significant contributions to the development of the modern clarinet.
Early Years and Musical Training
Born in Mortagne-au-Perche, France, Klosé moved to Paris at a young age.
He initially played the clarinet in the orchestra of the Royal Guard. In 1831, he entered the Paris Conservatory under the tutelage of Frédéric Berr, where he excelled as a student.
Career as a Performer and Professor
After graduating from the Conservatory, Klosé became the bandmaster of the conservator
